Open Society Institute-Baltimore: BRIDGES Coalition
In 2021, The Hatcher Group supported the BRIDGES Coalition, a grantee of OSI-Baltimore. We aided their work advocating for various decriminalization and harm reduction strategies in Maryland, including overdose prevention sites and the decriminalization of drug paraphernalia. We developed messaging and created fact sheets, social media graphics, digital advertisements, and other campaign collateral. Earned media was also a component of this work: We placed an op-ed on OPS in Maryland Matters, helped inform an editorial in The Baltimore Sun, and secured interviews for advocates on local radio shows.
